If you save just a few kilos of space in your suitcase and take supplies for schools or medical clinics in need, you’ll make a lasting difference to the lives of our local children and families.
Masiphumelele is a township about 40 kilometres south of Cape Town. There are approximately 40 000 people living in this densely crowded area. People are poor, and many unemployed and uneducated. Ukhanyo Primary School was originally built for 450 pupils and is now accommodating all 1 600 of the township’s children aged 6 to 14. The school is in need of good teachers and equipment. Via the non-profit organization MASICORP and Pack for a Purpose, we are collecting donations to improve the training and quality of teachers and to answer the need for school equipment.
Monde Primary School is a state school located in the rural area of Monde, about 14 km from Victoria Falls town. The school has around 300 students, from ECD (Kindergarten) to Grade 7 with 10 teachers. 300 students have to share only four classrooms, and the teachers live in 2 tiny houses on the premises. The school has so many needs from stationery, toys, books, sports equipment and much more.
